My journey began when I was a teen living in South Florida. I was bullied for a period of time, and was looking for something that would give me strength and self -confidence. My father turned me on to weight training, and I attended a class during high school. I not only saw results, but couldn't believe how it made me feel. I was hooked! Years later, I added the cardio components, and took up running as a hobby. While in college, I set out to get my group exercise certification, and then became a certified personal trainer (CPT). Even after I became a journalist, local television reporter, wife and mother of two- fitness was always my constant part-time job. Today, 25 years later, I have a Master's Degree in Health Education, and I have stayed current with my CPT, and certified group instructor certifications. Losing my beloved stepfather to complications from diabetes and other preventative health issues reignited my passion for helping others. I have specialized in working with the 55+ communities over the last decade. Helping this group has been especially rewarding. Fitness is my passion: I've interviewed and written about prominent health and sports figures; I have worked with all ages and shapes, including adolescents, pregnant women, and the 55+ communities in their endeavors to stay healthy and fit. I am known to be "passionate," not preachy about health and fitness, but I will give you the push you need to get moving! I want people to thrive, not just survive, in their quest to get healthy and fit.

This is a program developed for professional associations, businesses, municipalities, schools and athletes who care about their health and wellness and the wellness of their employees... Pilates combines Eastern and Western philosophies, and is a healthier way to work the body from the inside out with an emphasis on the core. Studies show that Pilates helps to reduce stress and prevent illness. Did you know that for most of life's activities, core strength and stability are key? Sitting and tech-neck are some of the biggest contributors to poor health in today's world. What you learn in the practice of Pilates, you take with you into everyday life, improving what you do and preventing injuries. The program is four, one-hour sessions via Zoom, Google Meet or Facebook Messenger- Telehealth options. For every class a group or individual takes, a portion of the cost will go to charity. Feel better and help a charity at the same time- healing your body and soul!
